Git in Unison with Unity part 3
Objective: Setting up a repository in GitHub.
For starters please have your GitHub account setup already. The next step I will walk you through the interface of GitHub and give you a crash course on what is Version Control. As you can see down below this is GitHub and on the far left you can see the Repository list on your left hand side of screen. In the middle will be information about getting started.
Next Step we will show you how to setup your Repository .
On the far left there is a new Repository section click on the green button to start a new Repository. Next give your project a name like Version Control in the Repository Name Field . Then give your project a description name like crash course in Version Control. The next section below from description is important and pay attention there are two repos to select from public and private. Public and Private are essential because it determines whether or not someone can see you ’re commit actions and project. Obviously Public anyone can see your commit actions and project .Private only a select few can see your commit actions and project. The next section select Add.gitignore and type Unity to stop certain unwanted files collaborating with Unity. Then click create Repository and your all done.
